He is a visionary who after the 26/7 deluge of 2005, suggested an ideal concept of Remaking of Mumbai through cluster development approach based on sectors in the island city of Mumbai. The very idea and concept was appreciated by the state government who issued ‘Expression of Interest’ for the cluster development under the Urban Renewal Scheme. Municipal Commissioner) He was one of the most dynamic and result oriented Municipal Commissioner of the city of Mumbai and comes with years of experience and knowledge in the field of governance. He knows the fine points of urban planning and minutiae problems of Mumbai. Y P Trivedi (Honourable Rajya Sabha member and Economist) He is a senior Supreme Court advocate and heads the Bombay Chapter of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber. He is an expert economist. Padmashree Nana Chudasama (Ex Sheriff Mumbai, World Chairman- Giants International) He is the pioneer of the only India based social service organization Giants International which now has over 500 branches all over India and abroad in countries like USA, Great Britain, Africa, Mauritius, and Ukraine. This organization was solely started by him with service to humanity as its main objective besides doing projects in various fields such as environment, Family Welfare, Disaster Management during earthquakes, floods and other national calamities. In fact he has introduced Family Planning as top priority project for Giants and has instituted a number of Awards for Groups achieving the target operations to be carried out in their area. For the last couple of years he has initiated 38,000 family planning operations. Anand Gupta (Hon. General Secretary, Builders Association of India) He spearheads the powerful builders’ lobby who has been constantly suggesting the government to increase the housing stock throughout the country. He has been seriously pursuing with the state government about the danger of acute shortage of housing in the country. Adolf Tragler (Director of Slum Rehabilitation Society) He is an Austrian by birth, now an Indian Citizen. He came to India in 1962, acquired his Masters of Arts in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He was then inspired to work on the issue of slums in Mumbai and is now working for the rehabilitation of slum dwellers. Chief Co-Ordinator Ashok Gulati (Secretary-BCRA) He is the chairman and Managing Director of Sun Realty India. A dynamic person with more than 15 years of experience in the Real Estate Industry, he is also the secretary of BCRA. Secretary Mayank Gandhi (Activist) He is a civic activist, an urban expert and famous for astute diplomacy and strategies. Jt. Architect Gurunath Dalvi is the President of IIA, graduated from Sir. J. J. College of Architecture. He has been a practicing Architect for more than 38 years. He was Principal / Director L.S. Raheja School of Architecture, Mumbai from 1987-2006. He has been recipient of the "Best Teacher Award" from Government of Maharashtra for the year 1995- 96. Vijay Kalantri (President -All India Association of Industries) He is the CMD of Balaji Group and also the President of All India Association of Industries. He is an Industrialist and an influential person for networking. Mahableshwar Morje (President of Flat Owners Association) He is a senior advocate specialized in cooperative housing societies issue and the President of Flat Owners Association. Shankar Desai (Ex President of Builders Association of India) He spearheaded against the problems of cement prices, steel prices in the construction industry while acting as the president of BAI and was one of an astute statesman and possessed leadership qualities. Vikas Narayan (Vice President-Tenants Association of India) He is a senior executive with TATA Group and brings his immense knowledge of working in United States of America on Urban and Housing issues. Treasurer Vimal Punmiya (Chairman - All India Business Council) He is one of the reputed chartered accountants in Mumbai and specialized in taxation matters. He is also the Chairman of All India Business Association. Jt. Treasurer Muhammadali Patel (General Secretary of Federation of Associations of Maharashtra) He is a staunch secular person and the General Secretary of Federation of Associations of Maharashtra. He is a dashing trade leader and also a social activist. Shashank Ninawe (Professor Raheja College of Architecture) He is an architect who has written many papers which have been presented in the international seminars. He has deep study of urban growth, development and practical solutions. S Dharamadhikari (President-Indian Society of Structural engineers) He is one of the most eminent structural engineers in India and has been on many committees appointed by the state government for researching and studying structural strengths and viability of old buildings. He has authored many reports on the same. Yashwant Dalal (President-Estate Agents Association of India) He is well versed with the market conditions of demand and supply and works for the welfare of the estate agents. Vinod Sampat (Advocate and President of Co-op. Society Residents' and Users & Welfare Association) A well known Advocate specialized in cooperative housing society issues, he is also an expert in stamp duty and registration matters. Members A Jockin (President-National Slum Dwellers Federation) He is a recipient of Magsaysay award in the year 2000 and has resettled thousands of families living under slums into their new homes successfully. He understands the problems of various stakeholders intimately and has been assiduously working for solutions for the benefits of the lower sections of society. Sharad Mahajan (Architect) An Architect by profession, he did his post graduation from Delhi School of Planning and Architecture in Urban Design. He has been working on mass housing projects. V K J Rane (Ex.MD- Indian Railways Construction) He is a former managing director IRCON International Ltd, a public sector enterprise of the Union Ministry of Railways and expertise knowledge in the field of Metro rail. He brings great knowledge of project management and engineering skill. |
